Funding your challenge
There are two ways that you can fund your challenge.
Self Funding
As a self funder you will personally cover the costs of your challenge which will include a minimum donation of £100 to your chosen charity. You can then raise as much additional sponsorship as you can for the charity.
The cost of the challenge is made up from the deposit, payable at the time of booking, and the balance which is due ten weeks before departure. There is no minimum sposorship requirement although it will benefit charities if you can raise sponsorship.
Sponsorship
With this option you pay the deposit and pledge to raise the minimum amount of sponsorship for your chosen charity. You are required to send the sponsorship money to the charity as you raise it with at least 80% paid ten weeks before departure. The balance must be paid within four weeks of completing the challenge.
Once you have raised the necessary funds the charity will then pay the balance of your expedition costs. The charity benefits by retaining the remaing monies and every pound subsequently raised.
